The Shipping & Receiving Freight Coordinator is responsible for managing inbound and outbound freight, coordinating transportation logistics, and ensuring accurate and timely movement of goods. This role serves as a key point of contact between carriers, vendors, and internal teams to maintain efficient warehouse operations.

JOB SUMMARY
The Shipping & Receiving Freight Coordinator is responsible for managing inbound and outbound freight, coordinating transportation logistics, and ensuring accurate and timely movement of goods. This role serves as a key point of contact between carriers, vendors, and internal teams to maintain efficient warehouse operations.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Coordinate and schedule inbound and outbound shipments (LTL, FTL, parcel)
- Communicate with carriers, brokers, and suppliers to arrange pickups and deliveries
- Track shipments and proactively resolve delays, shortages, or damages
- Verify shipping and receiving documentation (BOLs, packing slips, invoices)
- Ensure accurate inventory transactions in the warehouse management system (WMS)
- Maintain freight cost tracking and assist with cost control initiatives
- Inspect incoming shipments for damage and report discrepancies
- Prepare and process outbound shipping documents and labels
- Ensure compliance with company policies and transportation regulations
- Support warehouse operations including loading/unloading as needed
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in shipping, receiving, or logistics coordination
- Knowledge of freight types (LTL, FTL, expedited, parcel)
- Experience with WMS, ERP systems, or shipping software
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Good communication skills with carriers and internal teams
- Forklift experience (preferred but not required)
