Job Description
We are currently recruiting for a Scheduler, Production Planner to join our Pamco Label team in Des Plaines, IL! This role will support our production process by working closely with Customer Service, Estimating and our Prepress departments to ensure that all scheduling is running smoothly and efficiently. The ideal candidate will have past experience working in a similar role within a manufacturing environment. Experience in printing, packaging or folding carton is highly desired!

- Utilize available information to create complete and accurate job specific records within the ERP system
- Partners with operations to communicate job specific information via ERP system functions and serves as the touchpoint for corrections or changes requested by the production floor.
- Work closely with the purchasing department by allocating required materials to jobs and consolidating requirements into material requisition requests that will assist purchasing in the creation of purchase orders.
- Create key ERP components relating to master data, such as detailed information of finished good items, master estimates, custom products, production job, print changes, work instructions, job tickets, etc.
- Allocate materials to jobs and looks for material substitution opportunities.
Utilize manufacturing feedback to correct any errors and adjust ERP inputs for production specifications.
Serve manufacturing as primary contact and source for job specific information.
Performs other duties as requested.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- One year of experience in a manufacturing environment, printing or packaging industry experience preferred
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals
- Ability to read and interpret ruler, scales and other measurement devices.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and frequently is required to walk
