The Role & Your Impact
As Sales Director, you will lead and inspire a commercial team with responsibility for revenue, gross margin, and commercial profit. You will shape and execute the commercial growth strategy, strengthen customer engagement, and drive best-in-class sales and marketing practices.
Key responsibilities include:
- Setting direction and driving the organization toward ambitious commercial targets
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with key decision-makers at major customers and prospects
- Developing and executing growth strategies, including investment and go-to-market plans
- Redefining customer engagement models in close collaboration with Sales, Technical Service, and Marketing, with a strong digital focus
- Developing a strong talent pipeline, including succession planning for critical roles
- Driving commercial excellence through opportunity management, account planning, and value-based selling
- Optimizing distribution channels to ensure effective market coverage and service levels
- Collaborating with Supply Chain to align demand planning and forecasting
- Supporting the strengthening of Novonesis' corporate reputation together with the Regional Leadership Team
What You'll Need to Be Successful
To succeed in this role, you bring a strong commercial foundation and proven leadership experience, including:
- Minimum 10 years of progressive commercial experience in business unit leadership, commercial strategy, marketing, or sales within biotech, industrial solutions, or related B2B sectors
- A Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field (MBA preferred)
- A strong track record of building, leading, and developing high-performing teams
- Solid commercial acumen combined with strong collaboration, change management, and stakeholder management skills
- A data-driven and digitally savvy mindset
- Experience working successfully in a global, matrixed organization

Ways of Working
- Based Franklinton (Hybrid)
- Approximately 30% travel, primarily to engage with customers, partners, and internal stakeholders.
Compensation & Benefits
- Estimated salary range: $210,000 - 250,000
- 401(k) with up to a 9% company contribution
- Minimum of 3 weeks of vacation plus 12 holidays and 2 weeks of Wellness Time
