General Summary

Eisai is seeking a motivated and curious intern to join our Research & Development (R&D) IT team. In this role, you will work closely with Eisai IT Team Leads and cross-functional colleagues to explore and evaluate emerging Artificial Intelligence (AI) platforms-including tools such as Copilot and ChatGPT-in support of our RSQM (Regulatory, Safety, Quality, and Medical) business functions.

This internship offers a hands-on opportunity for a student currently enrolled in a technical degree program to build practical experience with AI technologies while gaining exposure to pharmaceutical R&D operations.

What You'll Do
  • Partner with the RSQM IT Lead and team members to identify and catalog AI use cases that can deliver value to IT and business stakeholders.
  • Document high-level requirements, success criteria, and business value for identified AI use cases.
  • Assess, test, and set up AI platforms and tools for prioritized use cases, including designing and refining prompts or lightweight models where applicable.
  • Demonstrate and present AI tools to IT and business teams, helping stakeholders understand potential applications and benefits.

Experience & Education Requirements
  • Currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree program at an accredited academic institution in a relevant field (Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Data Science, or related discipline)
  • Eligible to work in the United States
  • Must be a rising junior or senior
  • Ability to work onsite at our Nutley, NJ office three days per week (Tuesday-Thursday)
  • Local candidates preferred due to the onsite requirement

Eisai Salary Transparency Language:
The hourly rate for the R&D IT AI Intern - Regulatory is : $25.
