Your role
A. Support production units by actively analyzing existing systems and implementing cost effective process improvements.

B. Manage capital projects from initial concept idea to final implementation phase and provide technical expertise as a member or leader of assigned Capital Project teams. This includes performing activities such as budgeting, estimating, forecasting, accounting, work order management and other project related topics.

C. Support Compliance & Regulatory Manager by performing calculations, maintaining proper documentation and initiating projects aimed at remaining compliant with all the various government agencies applicable to our industry. This includes but is not limited to HAZOP's, Validation etc.

D. Work very closely with the automation group to ensure that all production areas are programmed in a manner that is easily validated and provides ease of operation to the most junior operator.

E. Support maintenance activities by actively providing input to resolve the root cause of equipment failures and research alternative solutions to prevent future failures.

About you
  • BS/MS in Chemical/Process Engineering from an accredited
    University. 0-5 or more years' experience required.
  • Excellent computer skills required in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word etc.).
  • Candidate must display creative and innovative solutions to the wide variety of problems that may arise with equipment, systems, or personnel.
  • Must be able to evaluate problems and provide solutions through logical systematic diagnosis, determine root cause, and decide on appropriate resolutions.
  • Must be self-motivated to achieve results while working alone as well as actively participating as a member of a work team. Has to have good communication skills to interact with other departments and colleagues
  • Solid organization skills with the ability to multitask in
    an environment with changing priorities.

Safety/Regulatory Training Requirements:
On the Job training as well as scheduled seminars will be provided as needed.

Working Conditions:
Will work in an industrial chemical plant environment. Must be able to pass a physical readiness exam.
