Please note: This role is split approximately 50% courier duties (client sample pickup/drop-off) and 50% laboratory administrative support.

QUALIFICATIONS

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Courier Responsibilities (Approx. 50%)
- Pick up and deliver client samples according to scheduled routes and timelines.
- Ensure proper handling, chain of custody, and temperature control during transport.
- Maintain delivery logs, perform vehicle safety checks, and ensure vehicle cleanliness.
- Communicate professionally with clients during pickups and drop-offs.
- Support urgent or on-demand deliveries as needed.
Laboratory Administrative Responsibilities (Approx. 50%)
- Log customer samples into the LIMS system with accuracy; use products as needed.
- Split samples between departments and ensure timely, accurate, and reliable processing.
- Maintain adherence to daily work schedules and workload priorities.
- Make recommendations regarding logging processes, product specifications, and customer communications.
- Perform clerical accuracy checks and ensure all samples are labeled and stored correctly.
- Keep the sample receiving/splitting room organized, cleaned, and maintained.
- Support ISO and QC documentation and process adherence.
- Interact with clients, suppliers, and vendors as required.
- Assist with purchasing, inventory management, and stocking supplies (labels, boxes, etc.).
- Assist with sample retain and retrieval.
- Support media preparation, washing of glassware, and general laboratory housekeeping.
- Participate in special projects as assigned by the Manager/Supervisor.
- Keep the Manager/Supervisor informed of department issues or concerns.
- Learn new techniques and technologies and help train others when appropriate.
- Work effectively with other departments and contribute to a positive team environment.
- Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma.
- Ability to safely operate a motor vehicle for daily courier routes.
- Valid, clean driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
- Strong administrative skills, including data entry accuracy, document management, and organization.
- Knowledge of aseptic technique and behaviors that reduce cross-contamination.
- Basic laboratory skills and understanding of lab workflows.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to teach or guide others through processes.
- Strong qualitative and quantitative reasoning skills.
- Excellent mathematical and communication skills.
- Ability to stand for prolonged periods and lift up to 40 lbs.
