What will you be doing?
  • Order, Monitor and Maintain accurate inventory levels and records.
  • Inspect incoming and existing inventory to ensure products meet quality standards and specifications.
  • Identify, document, and report defective or non-conforming materials.
  • Coordinate with Supply Chain and Supplier Quality to quarantine, return, or dispose of damaged or incorrect items.
  • Investigate inventory discrepancies and non-conformances as well as implement potential corrective actions.
  • Maintain quality control documentation, inspection logs, and inventory reports.
  • Assist with receiving processes to verify quantities, condition, and documentation of incoming goods.
  • Collaborate with Supply Chain, Procurement, and Supplier Quality teams to resolve quality or inventory issues.
  • Ensure compliance with Smith + Nephew procedures, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Support process improvement initiatives to increase inventory accuracy and operational efficiency.
  • Report and support investigations for OOS/OOT results and deviations.
  • Maintain laboratory cleanliness and laboratory storage space, and ensure compliance with GMP and safety
  • Document and review test results in compliance with GDP and ALCOA+ principles standards.

What will you need to be successful?

Education:
  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience in inventory management, quality control, or a regulated manufacturing environment.

Experience:
  • At least 4 years of experience in a regulated aseptic processing environment.

Knowledge:
  • Familiar with Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
  • Familiarity with GMP and regulatory requirements.

Competences:
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
  • Strong computer, organizational skills and excellent oral and written communication.
  • Self-motivated, adaptable to changing priorities, positive attitude, quick learner.

Travel Requirements:
  • Minimal travel required <10%

Physical Demands:
  • Ability to lift 25-30 lbs. and ability to stand 3-4 hours at a time.
