The Office of Admissions is seeking a Campus Visit Coordinator to join the Georgia State University Welcome Center. The Campus Visit Coordinator is responsible for planning and executing campus visit programs for prospective students and their families and groups.

Responsibilities include comprehensively representing Georgia State University, planning and implementing the details of on-campus events, coordinating all aspects of high school group tours, and providing excellent customer service to visiting families, groups and University students and staff.

The Campus Visit Coordinator also assists in the daily supervision of student tour guides.

What will you be doing?

- Assist the Assistant Director of the Welcome Center with all aspects of on-campus operations including opening and closing of the office (Office hours are 8:30 am until 5:15 pm) daily visits, events, receptions, and workshops.

- Serve as the primary coordinator for all campus tours including but not limited to group tours, daily visits, and VIP visits. Maintain, monitor, and enter all event information and prospective student information in Slate.

- Track, monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of information sessions and campus tours on campus via reporting. Assist with developing a training materials and conducting monthly meetings with staff.

- Assist with managing, hiring, training, scheduling and evaluating tour guides and student ambassadors

- Manage all aspects of the annual fly-in program for out-of-state admitted students.

- Assist with presenting information sessions, evaluating and improving the campus tour experience, and the overall daily office responsibilities.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

- Knowledge of GSU Admission procedures

- Strong communication skills, both oral and written

- Event planning experience

- Knowledge of CRM systems

- Confident public speaker

- Proactive, independent, flexible, adaptable and can adjust to change quickly

- Ability to work occasional nights and weekends

- Ability to lift 35 pounds

Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor's degree, or a combination of education and related experience.

Preferred Hiring Qualifications:

Experience with CRM systems such as Slate.

Experience presenting to large and small groups.

Previous supervisory experience of student workers is highly desirable.
