Analytical Scientist Day 1

Job Description
- Supports clinical and process science testing of pharmaceutical products.
- May help assist technical transfer testing for development upon request.
- Coordinates with other members of the test to perform in-person, real-time checks and verifications of required tasks.
- Gathers data and documents all results per GDP and ALCOA+ principles.
- Proper handling of samples, materials, and instrumentation
- Reviews test results to ensure compliance with standards; reports any quality anomalies.
- Complies with all pertinent regulatory agency requirements.
- Participates in required training activities.
- Maintains laboratory supplies.
- Completes test records and reviews data.
- Calibrates or verifies calibration of instruments/devices prior to use.
- Interacts with outside customers or functional peer groups.
- May assist in qualifications and validations of methods
- Strong computer, scientific, and organizational skills
- Excellent communication (oral and written) and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, self-motivated, adaptability, and a positive attitude
- Ability to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with company policies
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, biochemistry, or other science related degree concentration, or equivalent directly related experience
- Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship
- Experience with UV-Vis/Solo-VPE, pH, Density, Osmolality or other Analytical methods strongly preferred
- Experience working in a GMP lab space preferred
- Level will be determined based on relevant education and/or experience
Additional Information
- Position is full-time, 1st shift Mon-Fri, 8 am-4:30 pm. Candidates currently living within a commutable distance of Rensselaer, New York are encouraged to apply. Pay is between $19.50- $22.50/hr and is determined based on relevant education and/or experience.
